Each year the Castroville Police Department participates in the BooBash at Castroville Regional Park. During this event the police department sets up police vehicles and offers candy, balloons, and stickers to area children in costume.
Last year (2014) an estimated 3000 attended the BooBash. The police department also has extra units on duty on Halloween night so the officers can participate with the neighborhoods in celebrating the children of our community.
