The three day weekend will continue on July 4th with an array of activities to celebrate Independence Day. The day will begin with the City of Castroville’s Annual Old-Fashioned 4th of July Parade starting at 9am. The parade will be followed by a post-parade celebration at the City’s park on Houston Square. Many local groups will provide refreshments for all those gathered after the parade.

Following the parade festivities, the Old-Fashioned 4th of July Concert and Picnic in the Park will be held at the City of Castroville Regional Park, located on Alsace Street along the beautiful Medina River. At the park, visitors will find a wide array of food vendors and food trucks, from burgers to eclectic cuisine.
Throughout the evening, there will be performances by an extraordinary range of the most talented individuals in the area. As the grand finale, the acts will be followed by a large, spectacular fireworks display which will begin at dusk. Visitors to Castroville will be able to view the fireworks from almost any location in Castroville, but the best seat in town will be on the soccer fields at Regional Park. The fireworks will be the culmination of a wonderful weekend celebrating the independence of our great nation.
