Planning

The Community Development Department provides planning services that enhance the overall living environment of Castroville's population. Staff provides design guidance, reviews zoning and subdivision applications, and shapes public policy related to growth and development. The department is responsible for maintaining and updating the City's planning documents including, but not limited to, the City's Master Plan.  The Department strives both to enhance relationships with residents and neighborhood organizations and to expand participation in the planning process by providing information and technical assistance to the City's residents, property owners, neighborhood groups and developers.
