Historic Stay Locations
1. Arroyo Cottage House - A part of the Schmidt family land, established in 1870, this two story home is equipped with internet, ceiling fans and central a/c and heating, and offers a full kitchen, two bathrooms with tubs, washer/dryer, king bed and sofa bed in the downstairs bedroom and a twin trundle bed upstairs. There is a king size air mattress and linens available for the open loft area. Book Here
2. Arroyo Studio - Built in1870 by the Schmidt family, this studio guesthouse was once the kitchen area for the home. The original home sits on site but is inaccessible pending restoration efforts. Book Here
This high ceiling studio apartment is equipped with internet, ceiling fans and central a/c and offers a full kitchen, walk-in shower, washer/dryer, king size bedroom and large shared yard with outdoor seating. The yard and playground are gated and available for guest use along with the picnic table.
3. Barber's House - Centrally located in downtown Castroville, the Barber's House is only a few blocks away from nearby local shops, restaurants, and event venues. Come for the peace and quiet of a small town (about 30 minutes west of nearby San Antonio), but stay for the rich history and culture this town has to offer. Established by Alsatian and German settlers in the 1840's, Castroville is still deeply tied to its European roots with historic homes, churches, and buildings located around the town. Book Here

Castroville River Cottage - Historic cottage on the Medina River - fire pit with Adirondack chairs, riverside charcoal grill, screened porch, rocking chairs & riverside tree swing make it the perfect place to relax. 5. Haby Settlement Hüs - Experience the homey atmosphere of this circa 1891 farmhouse. Furnished in an eclectic mix of antiques, you will feel right at home. Porches, barbeque pit and picnic table beckon you to relax and enjoy views of old farmsteads, wildlife, sunrises and sunsets. Book Here
6. Hillside Boutique Hotel - Maybe not as historic as our other lodging, the Hillside Boutique Hotel still offers comfort with a nod to our historic past. The hotel has 38 rooms, from a 375 sq ft Classic King to various 425 sq ft options. For added luxury, there's a 620 sq ft Premier Suite with two bedrooms. The two-bedroom Luxury Suite, over 1,100 sq ft, feels like a Hill Country home, complete with a full kitchen and a private balcony with Medina River Valley views. 7. Landmark Inn Historic Site - Start your tour at Landmark Inn where you can learn about the history of the area. Perched along the Medina River, Landmark Inn was a key stop for those heading west from San Antonio. Book Here
8. Medina River Windmill Cabin - This authentic cabin was built in 1938 on the banks of the Medina River and has been recently renovated. It is equipped with a stove, microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker. Located along the Historic Walking Tour of Castroville and within walking distance to the Landmark Inn, Castroville Cafe, Dziuk's Meat Market, Haby's Bakery, Magnolia's Filling Station (Coffee shop), and Rhonda J's, among many other friendly local establishments.
